Fugro Consultants is a market leader in geotechnical and environmental site investigation. We currently own and operate over 100 drilling, cone penetration, and Geoprobe™ systems nationwide. Our equipment is capable of drilling to depths in excess of 200 feet.  For most projects, we operate our own equipment.  The result is a solid, controlled response to scheduling requirements. 

The company has extensive experience in correlating CPT data with soil borings.  In addition, many of our CPT units are equipped to perform in-situ measurement of subsurface environmental contamination.

Fugro owns and operates each of the following site exploration tools:

• Cone Penetrometer Testing (CPT)
• Conventional and wireline rock coring
• Direct Push Technology (ROST, MIP, dilatometer testing)
• Geoprobe units (truck, track, tractor, skid-mounted)
• Drilling equipment (hollow-stem and rotary wash rigs: truck, track, and buggy-mounted)
• Jack-up barge for shallow water, nearshore drilling

In order to maintain operational and technical proficiency, all personnel are involved in continuing education regarding the equipment and technological services that we offer. All field personnel have completed the OSHA HAZWOPER 40 Hour Training course and the necessary 8 Hour Refresher courses as required in OSHA 29 CFR. In addition, field personnel are trained in CPR and first aid and participate in an annual medical monitoring program and a random drug screening program.
